No Complaints Here – and I'm Grinning Ear To Ear Everyday!

I have no complaints, and I”m grinning from ear to ear every day!

Complaining never changed anything, anyway.

It”s the want to change, the need for change, and the move towards change that creates something positive from something negative.

What is a complaint? It”s your precious time, wasted, thinking about a negative thought. Thinking and speaking negative thoughts don”t help you. Most times, it makes you feel worse – overwhelmed, overworked, under appreciated, underutilized, etc. Complaining sucks the fun out of everything. “Fun sucker” – is that what you want to be known for?

Hate where you live? Why spend all that time complaining about it? Instead, redirect that time on finding a new place to live.

Hate your lying, cheating boyfriend? Why best online casino spend any time complaining about it? Complaining about him never changed him in the past – what makes you think that complaining about it is going to make it better? Spend that time instead reflecting on all the ways that you have attracted the wrong type of boyfriend, and spend that same amount of time making adjustments so that you can attract the kind of boyfriend you deserve.

Hate YOUR job?

Hate your job? Why spend ANYTIME complaining about it. The job isn”t going to change. Spend your time instead finding ways to 1.) find the job you love or 2.) create the job you love.

The only time a complaint is a positive is the moment it makes you realize that something is not quite right. Once you realize it (whether it”s your home, your boyfriend, your job, etc.), you should spend the time trying to figure out why it”s not quite right and making adjustments to make it what you want.

That small, conscious change > from less complaining to making the changes necessary to go from “not so perfect” to PERFECT can make a HUGE difference in your life.

I have no complaints, and I”m grinning from ear to ear every day!

Lessons from Yoda: Believe or FAIL

Lessons from Yoda: Believe or FAIL

I love this quote from Star Wars:

Luke: I don”t believe it!

Yoda: That”s why you fail.

We want to make it more complicated than that, but it”s not. Believe it: YOU are YOUR limit. You set the limit, so why not dream BIG?

I was a kid when the Star Wars movies came out. As a kid, I did not fully understand what Yoda was trying to say to Luke Skywalker (and to me!), but I kept coming back to that line over and over again throughout my life. I don”t know remember the exact moment when I finally understood, but when I did, it changed my life.

I suddenly realized something about limits. I had two choices when I ran into a limit: (and so do you!)

  1. Remove the limit. Think you need a CPA to get to the next level of your career? Then go GET IT. Think you need an expensive suit to land that fancy job? Then go GET IT. Think you need a <insert magical document or superpower here>? Then GO GET IT. Overcoming these self-imposed limits gives us great power and casino confidence until one day, you…
  2. Believe there is NO LIMIT. See the other solutions and opportunities available to you. So many people see a door that is closed and are so focused on the closed door they don”t see the millions of open doors (i.e. opportunities) available to them. SEE THE OPEN DOORS!
The success you achieve is entirely up to you – what you believe you can do, you will SUCCEED. The opposite is also true – what you do not believe – you will FAIL.
Remember Yoda, and may the force be with you!

The Beginning

The Beginning

On each one of my friend’s birthdays, I strive to write a birthday wish to them that is meaningful and inspiring. After all, as a friend, I wanted it to be personal since it only happens once a year. Everyone get’s the standard birthday wish “Happy Birthday!” from everyone else – but once a year, I wanted to send a wish that actually said something – MORE.

So each year, my BFF’s have been getting wishes – from the bottom of my heart and they usually they go something like this:

May this year be filled with success in spades – more than your wildest dreams! PS – Dream BIG!

or:

May this year bring you more purses and shoes than you can possibly dream of! PS – Dream BIG!

or:

May this year be crazy wonderful for you!!! And hope you YEEHAW, WHOOHA, and WHOPPEE every day of the year! PS – Dream BIG!

Notice a theme here?

And then New Year’s eve 2011. Time to make a New Year’s wish for myself. Every year I make a wish for the world, for peoples (in general), and 1 special wish just for me. My wish this year was to start writing a book. It’s been 2 weeks since I made that wish. I’ve been writing, I’ve been playing around with ideas, and I’ve been brainstorming a name for the book, when suddenly it dawned on me, something I’ve been telling my BFF’s all year:

P.S. Dream Big!
